If you are going to setup the NetApp OnCommand Plug-in 3.1 as I posted here there is a chance that you run into an “Error 1923Service OnCommand Virtual Infrastructure Management Service (VIM_Service) could not be installed. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to install system services.”
First make sure the service account has local administrator permission on the server where you are going to install the MP. If all pre-requisites match and you still get this error make sure you specify the credentials in the correct format.
While setting up the MP you need to enter the account by typing “DOMAIN\Account” if you do not provide the domain you will run into the error above.
